Zelle® App is Going Away: What to Know

We want to inform you about upcoming changes to the Zelle® app that could affect you. Zelle® recently announced they'll transition away from their standalone app and switch to direct integration within the mobile banking apps of participating financial institutions.

 

What This Means For You

Zelle® App Changes Effective: After March 31, 2025
After this date, users will no longer be able to send or receive money using the Zelle® app. Access to Zelle® will only be available through the mobile banking apps of participating banks or credit unions.

OHecu’s mobile app does not currently offer Zelle®. However, there are several alternative options available for sending and receiving money with family and friends.

Alternative Options*

  • Venmo: Send and receive money easily using a linked bank account
  • PayPal: Transfer funds securely using your PayPal balance or linked accounts
  • Cash App: Send money quickly with a linked debit card or bank account
  • Apple Pay/Google Pay: Use your mobile device for fast and secure money transfers
  • Wire Transfer: Send money electronically to a recipient's bank account.
  • Western Union: Send money locally or internationally for cash pickup
